Labrador puppies: the rules of care and education

When a Labrador puppy first appears in the family, few owners think that the dog will go with them for a long life of ten or fifteen years. The first six months, during which the character and habits of the dog are formed, the skills of tidiness and the basis of obedience will be created – this is the most important period in the dog’s life.
Love for the owner is an important quality, but it appears gradually, in the process of playing together, taking care of your pet and walking. Consequently, the education of the dog begins from the first moment, after it has appeared in the house. This Labrador puppy is a big fan of being photographed

Feeding labrador puppy
The kid, who was separated from his mother, usually bored and longed, so the owner’s task is to provide the puppy with maximum comfort in the first days at a new place. A breeder should definitely say what kind of food a small Labrador ate, and for the first few days you need to feed him with this type of food, even if you later plan to change the diet. A new type of feed is introduced gradually, replacing them with one feed.
A Labrador puppy trains hunts for game Two-month-old Labrador babies, like puppies of the Kurzhaar, are fed four times a day. Labradors are growing rapidly and they need high-calorie food for proper development. The best and easiest option is to feed ready-made dry food that contains everything you need for bones and ligaments. If you plan to eat natural food, the puppy must receive raw meat: beef or lamb, milk and cottage cheese, eggs and cereals.
By-products are given only boiled, and babies should not be given light, spleen and udder. So what do we have for lunch today? Carbohydrates in the form of buckwheat and rice porridge are quickly absorbed, and the prevalence of porridge in the menu leads to excessive fullness, which this breed is prone to, and stress on weak joints. The proportion of cereals in the daily ration should be one third of the volume, the remaining two thirds are meat and dairy products.
Puppies up to four months do not need to give calcium supplements, otherwise there will be difficulties with the loss of milk teeth. As soon as the teeth begin to change, the “green light” is given to vitamin supplements containing hondoprotectors and calcium. Toddlers getting ready-made dry food do not need an extra dose of vitamins.
Training to tidiness. Breeders usually grow puppies on a bed of shavings or other filler, which is well absorbing moisture. Therefore, the baby does not know where to recover, makes puddles and piles everywhere. While the dog is small, it is necessary to teach him to walk.
For this, any quiet place on the street is suitable: stony or covered with grass: the main thing is to be quiet and, if possible, deserted. Joint swimming in the summer heat – a real pleasure for Labrador puppies Important! Puppy is taken out after sleep, feeding or playing, and they do it in any weather.
The kid must understand that you can never recover at home! Of course, it is not always possible to keep track of the little lab, and puddles will appear again and again, but it is useless to scold and nose your baby because he still cannot control his body. If it is punctual to adhere to the rules of teaching the dog to tidiness, then in a month the dog will begin to ask the toilet, whining at the door, for which he should be praised.
Some breeders do not advise walking the puppy until the vaccination course is completed, but this process usually takes at least a month, and the baby gets used to recovering at home, which is difficult to wean. In order to minimize the risk of catching the virus, the baby must be carried out on the hands to the place of removal and carried away from there, not allowing play with other dogs. Vaccinations Labrador puppies
At the age of 45 days, after the obligatory activation of the litter, the puppy is taken from the mother. By this time, the breeder should twice give kids the drug for worms. If this is not done, then the anthelmintic drug is given to the pet on the third or fifth day of stay in the new house, and then ten days before the vaccination. The first vaccination is done at the age of two months, usually vaccinated with a complex vaccine, twice with an interval of three weeks.
